Hi 👋, we’re glad you’ve decided to give Sumtracker a try.

Here’s a quick walkthrough of things to do on your first day with Sumtracker.

1: Connect Your Stores

  • Ensure you’ve connected your stores whose inventory you want to manage or monitor using Sumtracker.

  • Check out this help article on how to connect your stores: Connecting Sumtracker with online stores

2: Ensure Product listings on the online store have SKUs

  • Verify that all product listings on your online stores have SKUs. Only listings with SKUs will be synced to Sumtracker.

  • For multiple stores, ensure that identical products have the same SKUs. Learn more.

3: Learn how to adjust inventory in Sumtracker

  • You can view and change your inventory from the Stock by Location page.

  • You can make inventory changes to multiple products from the Adjust Stock forms. Learn More.

4: Setup Bundles

  • In Sumtracker, once you define a bundle and its components, the bundle's inventory updates based on the stock of its individual parts.

  • You can setup bundles after turning on the inventory sync as well. Learn More.

5: Turn on Inventory sync

  • Once the inventory sync is turned on, Sumtracker becomes the source of truth for your inventory.

  • The inventory from Sumtracker will be updated to online stores every 10 minutes.

  • Any inventory change should only be done on Sumtracker. Learn More.

6: Understanding how data is synced between your stores and Sumtracker

  • Inventory levels are synced from Sumtracker to your store every 10 minutes.

  • Orders and their status are synced from your store to Sumtracker every 10 minutes.

  • Products are synced from your store to Sumtracker, even if inventory sync is turned off, as long as the store is connected. Learn More.
