Here’s a quick walkthrough of things to do on your first day with Sumtracker.
Step 1: Ensure Product listings on the online store have SKUs
Only listings with SKUs will be synced to Sumtracker. Verify that all product listings on your online stores have SKUs.
Listings with same SKUs get linked together automatically to have a connected inventory. Their inventory will remain in sync with each other.
Step 2: Turn on Inventory sync
Inventory sync can be turned on from the Store list on Dashboard
We copy inventory from your store and set it as the starting inventory in Sumtracker for the first time
Once the inventory sync is turned on, Sumtracker becomes the source of truth for your inventory. Any inventory adjustment should only be done on Sumtracker.
Manual Inventory updates from your store won't be detected by Sumtracker

You can view and change your inventory from the Inventory page or Adjust stock forms page. Learn more

Common FAQs
Where will I create new products?
You have to continue creating new products on your store. Products get synced to Sumtracker within a few seconds. Once the product is synced, you have to add its inventory in Sumtracker.
Do I need to connect my fulfillment app to Sumtracker?
No. Sumtracker detects all order statuses directly from your store.
How often does Sumtracker sync my inventory?
Inventory get synced from Sumtracker to your store every 10 minutes. Sumtracker is constantly syncing your orders every few minutes to keep the inventory updated.
I want to Shopify to be the source of truth for inventory. Is this possible?
This is not supported at the moment. Once inventory sync is on, Sumtracker is the source of truth for your inventory.
Does Sumtracker detect all order actions and statuses?
Yes, Sumtracker detects all order actions and statuses automatically. We detect order edits, partial fulfillments, refunds, returns, cancellation and fulfillments automatically and adjust the inventory automatically.
I have multiple locations and stores. Can I configure how inventory sync will work?
Yes, you can have any configuration of locations and stores. Sumtracker can be configured to update the inventory as per your requirement.
I want to connect multiple stores to Sumtracker, what are the best practices?
Make sure the SKUs for identical products are consistent across all stores. Learn more about connecting multiple stores.
I want to integrate with Xero or Quickbooks. Is this possible?
Currently, Sumtracker is not integrated with accounting systems. However, this is on our roadmap.
I want to import past orders and cost prices of products from Shopify. Is this possible?
