If your listings are not syncing to Sumtracker or you can’t see your product in Sumtracker, it could be due to a few common reasons. Here’s a guide to help you troubleshoot the issue:
Check if the listings have SKUs
SKUs are essential for tracking and syncing your listings in Sumtracker. If your listings don’t have SKUs, Sumtracker won’t be able to identify and sync them. Make sure that each listing has an SKU assigned. If any products are missing SKUs, once the SKUs are added, they will be synced to Sumtracker automatically.
If you add SKUs after the sync is already turned on, the inventory data will not come over automatically. You’ll need to manually enter or update the inventory for those products in Sumtracker.
If you are adding SKUs to a lot of existing products, you could Turn Off the inventory sync for the store, add the SKUs and copy Inventory when turning the sync back on.
Ensure listings are active
Platform | Products that Sync | Products that Do Not Sync |
Shopify | Active listings | Archived and Draft listings (unless Save draft products is turned on. Learn more) |
Etsy | Active and inactive listings | Sold-out listings (you’ll need to renew the sold-out listing to sync it) |
WooCommerce | Published listings | Draft and pending listings |
Amazon | Active listings | Inactive, incomplete, removed, or search-compressed listings |
eBay | Active listings | Ended or draft listings |
Walmart | Active listings | Inactive, unpublished, or removed listings |
Check if the Product is archived
If a product is archived in Sumtracker, it will not appear in the stock by location but will still be visible in the product list by adding a filter. To check if your product is archived, go to the Product list, apply the filter “Is archived” > True, and this will display all archived products. If you find that the product is archived, you can unarchive them. Learn more.
Check Product Information Overwrite Setting
If you’re not seeing updates to product name, variant names, or images, the Product Information Overwrite setting may be turned off. When this setting is disabled, any updates made to listing names, variant names, or images in your store will not sync to Sumtracker. Ensure this setting is enabled if you want these changes to be reflected in Sumtracker. Learn how.
Check if you have multiple listings for the same product
If the same product has multiple listings with the same SKU, the product name and variant name in Sumtracker will be updated based on the latest listing that was synced. This means that the name and variant details from the most recently synced listing will overwrite any previously synced names. Keep this in mind if you manage multiple listings for the same product across different platforms.
Try a Hard Refresh of Listings
Occasionally, some listings might not have synced to Sumtracker. In these cases, performing a Hard Refresh of Listings can help resolve the problem. Performing a Hard Refresh of Listings will reload your listings from the store to Sumtracker. To perform a Hard Refresh of listings, go to the store settings in Sumtracker and click on "Hard Refresh Listings." This should help resolve any lingering sync issues.
