🔍 How to Check Your Sync Setup

🛍️ For Shopify Stores

Go to Store Details → Warehouse Connections tab

Case 1: Shopify location is marked as 3PL

Sumtracker will not push inventory. Shopify remains the master.

Case 2: Shopify location is not marked as 3PL, but warehouse is mapped

Sumtracker will push inventory. Sumtracker becomes the master.

Case 3: Shopify location is not mapped to any warehouse

Sumtracker will not push inventory. Shopify stays as the master.

💡 If you're only syncing orders (legacy setup), your inventory sync behavior is still controlled based on how warehouses are mapped or marked.

🧷 For eBay, Etsy, Walmart

Go to Store Details → Warehouse Connections tab

If no warehouse is mapped, Sumtracker does not push inventory. The store controls inventory.

Coming Next: Smarter Inventory Visibility for 3PL Setups

We’re rolling out the ability to copy initial inventory from your store when using the “Order Only Sync” setup. Sumtracker will then periodically fetch inventory levels from your store, giving you up-to-date visibility into stock at your 3PL-managed locations — without needing those locations to push inventory updates.
