What is opening stock on Warehouse connections for Shopify stores

When you are connection a new Shopify location to Sumtracker warehouse, we need to initialise the inventory at that warehouse in Sumtracker.

You have two options here:

Import inventory from Shopify - Recommended

Imports the inventory from the Shopify location to the respective Sumtracker warehouse to set as the initial inventory numbers.

This is typically the case for most locations, and it is always recommended to import the inventory numbers as Sumtracker might not have the initial inventory set.

Use current inventory in Sumtracker

You can choose use the existing inventory at this warehouse in Sumtracker to override the inventory levels on saving the connections setup

This is used in the following cases

1. You already have updated the correct inventory numbers in Sumtracker, and you do not want Shopify numbers to overwrite them.
2. You are connecting a location in a second Shopify store to an existing warehouse in Sumtracker, that already has the correct inventory.

Note: When you choose this option, whatever inventory is in Sumtracker for your products will be pushed to Shopify. You must ensure that Sumtracker has the correct numbers before choosing this option.
